René Lalique (French, 1860–1945) · c. 1913–21
Entitled Chasse, Chiens , meaning hunt, dogs , this glass plate's gilded decoration of dogs and birds is intended to evoke the hunt. Six hunting dogs encircle the center of the plate, while game birds trim the perimeter.
