™WHY WE ARE HERE
Room for beauty.
A photograph that makes you pause. A painting that stays with you. A small detail seen in a new way.
Hills of Venus is a place to explore beautiful images and share work from your own collection. Photography, painting, sculpture, film, music, books and useful software belong here.
Free to explore
Viewing the gallery is intended to be free. Browse individual works or spend time with a collection.
Shared with care
Contributors provide a rights declaration, and submissions are reviewed before appearing in the gallery.
Made for people
Our initial collection follows a general-audience policy. Respect for creators, subjects, and viewers shapes what we publish.

The opening collection
Our opening selection brings together museum art, early cinema, scientific visualization, music and sound resources, literature, and public-domain or CC0 source code. Each listing includes credits, an original source and reuse details. Some public-domain assessments apply specifically to the United States; those limits are shown on the work.
